Louisa’s Story

Qualifying in 1996 I began my career in London’s West End.

Offering all types of beauty treatments but always loved facial treatments and the science behind them.

In 2000 I had the opportunity to set up my own business in the City of London and quickly built a thriving clinic until relocating to Gloucestershire in 2007.

After having my two children I started specialising in facials and skin care, and I soon discovered the principle of ‘Corneotherapy’ which led me to a whole new – exciting -level of scientific learning relating to skin physiology and how product formulations truly interact with it which totally changed my mindset on how to treat the skin.

I recently heard the saying; “all research is MEsearch” and this is true, as I have had my own struggles with sensitive skin which involve first hand experience of eczema and dermatitis.

Discovering corneotherapy was my ‘EUREKA’ moment and made me realise that some popular skin treatments and much of mainstream product formulations do not truly serve the skin and only look at short-term fixes with little regard for long-term skin health.

Once I adopted this skin-aligned way of working with clients (and myself) I noticed improvements that surpassed anything I had seen before.

I set up Reface Skin Clinic in Cheltenham in 2014 and rebranded to SKIN SOCIETY in 2026 also launching my e-commerce site which offers carefully curated skin care from trusted brands especially for sensitive skins: SENSITIVE SKIN SOCIETY.
