The principal behind Dermapen is very simple; needles create micro-channels in the epidermis which triggers a natural wound healing response. Red and white blood cells flood to the area followed by a surge of new cross-linked collagen within the skin. This leads to plumper, tighter, more even skin tone and texture.
What to expect:
Most clients tolerate the ‘scratchy’ sensation well and I work at a depth that is controlled to maximise results but does not produce any bleeding. Skin can look and feel sunburnt for anything between a few hours and 48 hours. Redness, tightness, heat and flaking are all normal reactions to microneedling treatment. Usually the skin looks normal the following day.
