Skin tags are soft, harmless growths that hang off the skin usually on a thin stalk. Mostly found on the neck, underarms, eyelids, or groin, they can vary in size from a few millimetres to more than centimetre.
Skin tags are caused by friction, ageing, or genetic factors and may become irritated by clothing or jewellery, which is often why people choose to have them removed.
Treatment with advanced electrolysis gently removes the skin tag by cauterising the tissue at the base. A scab will form and naturally fall away within 7–14 days, leaving smooth skin.
