Sebaceous hyperplasia are flat, small, whitish or pale yellow bumps on the skin, typically with a central dip that resembles a doughnut shape. These harmless lesions most often appear in areas of higher oil production and indicate a malfunction in the sebaceous (oil) gland, resulting in oil becoming trapped beneath the surrounding skin.
