If there is any uncertainty about a lesion during the consultation, I use a remote dermatology service which allows me to send photographs and dermatoscope images to a consultant dermatologist who will review the images and send a report detailing their diagnosis and giving the go ahead for safe treatment, ensuring we can proceed with confidence or if required; next steps. This service allows for an expert opinion within a short time frame – usually within 48 to 72 hours.
If this is used the consultation fee is waived.
