Dermatosis papulosa nigra (DPNs) are benign, small, dark bumps that typically appear on the face and neck. They are most commonly found in individuals with melanin-rich skin and, while harmless, are often removed for cosmetic reasons. Advanced electrolysis provides a precise and gentle solution, using cauterisation to dry out and shrink the lesions causing them to form a small scab and shed over the following 1-2 weeks revealing clear, smooth skin. Depending on the number of DPN’s, more than one treatment may be required.
